'The Fallen Angel'
Chris Gollon's painting pictured here featured along with other contemporary artists in this mixed exhibition on the theme of the ANGEL. Selected artists were invited by Gallery K to produce works featuring or inspired by the history of these supernatural winged deities in human form. Some more welcome than others: sometimes appearing as messengers of God, or of death, or of inspiration, ecstacy or love (sacred or profane), or sometimes as guardians. This exhibition will showed a range of contemporary images on an ancient theme.
Gollon chose to paint himself as the Fallen Angel, in this a rare self portrait.
