Stations of the Cross (V): Simon the Cyrenean Helps Jesus'
Chris Gollon's Stations of the Cross nos. I-XIV were used as an active aid to worship in the Good Friday service at 10am.Although the paintings had yet to be permanently installed, and were displayed on easels, the congregation swelled dramatically and the paintings were extremely well received by worshippers, art collectors, visitors and national press (see Press page for reviews).
in this beautiful church, designed by Sir John Soane, this is an ambulatory service in remembrance of Christ's last journey. (See Commissions page for further details of Chris Gollon's Stations). St John on Bethnal Green is situated between the Museum of Childhood and Bethnal Green Tube.
