This temporary installation of paintings, wooden Cross, 1,000 yr-old hand handmade nail and barbed wire crown, was made and assembled by Chris Gollon for an exhibition in Hackney, London, in February 2004. The exhibition coincided with 'Presence: Images of Christ for the Third Millennium' in St Paul's Cathedral, London, and in which Gollon's painting 'Stations of the Cross IV: Jesus Meets His Mother' was shown with works by Bill Viola, Maggi Hambling, Tracey Emin and Craigie Aitchison.
From the Hackney exhibition, the paintings of Jesus, The Magdalene and The Mater Dolorosa immediately sold into private collections in UK and USA.
