In 2005, Chris Gollon chose to work with master printmaker Ian Wilkinson at the Cambridgeshire-based Limberhurst Press print studio. Ian has worked with many leading contemporary artists including Paula Rego, John Bellany, Eduardo Paolozzi, Elizabeth Frink and Anthony Gormley. In a very creative, technical collaboration with Ian Wilkinson, and using nineteen silk-screens, Chris Gollon produced his first successful edition of silk-screen fine art prints.

Published by IAP Fine Art, London, and entitled ‘Einstein’, this edition of 100 screenprints, each signed and numbered by the artist, celebrates 2005 as the centenary of Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity. This strong and richly-coloured image has an extraordinary, iconic gold background, which has the effect of a gold, reflective river when viewed from different angles. A beautiful image that only exists in silk-screen form, with screens hand painted by the artist, this limited edition is a unique Gollonesque portrait of Albert Einstein.

This edition also has museum provenance, since it was shown in the temporary exhibition at Huddersfield Art Gallery for the unveiling of their Gollon acquisition (see Public Collections).

In 2006 the copyright was leased from Chris Gollon (for this image and two others) via the Bridgeman Art Library to Random House Publishing in New York for use on the cover of a new book entitled 'My Einstein' edited by John Brockman
