Although Chris Gollon remains predominantly a fine art painter, he has also upon occasion made installations and site-specific works.

His 'Cross After the Deposition' is an arrangements of paintings and objects, and his Salmon Cross both an installation and an homage to Goya.

The whole major commission for 14 Stations of the Cross is also a site specific installation of Gollon's images, carefully and purposefully located for religious, artistic and architectural reasons within the Church of St John on Bethnal Green, designed by Sir John Soane.
