‘The Party’ (July 2010)
Film maker Ronny Haynes’ film follows the evolution of a large work by Chris Gollon entitled ‘The Party’ from blank canvas to completion. In this work, Gollon innovatively uses brushes, rollers and sprays, to animate shadows and a scratching-in technique to infuse his figures with movement.

BEING HUMAN: A journey by Chris Gollon
BEING HUMAN: A Journey by Chris Gollon is a short trailer for a 30-minute documentary of the same title by Talentbox Productions. The film, directed by Achim Jedelsky, follows Chris Gollon through his Fellowship & First Artist In Residency at the Institute of Advanced Study, Durham University, in early 2009, where he produced 16 paintings on the Being Human theme.

Station to Station (2008) by film maker Ronny Haynes. This short film, which includes interviews with Fr Alan Green, novelist Sara Maitland and Chris Gollon, as well as BBC and ITV News footage, shows the development of Chris Gollon’s work, in particular as he works under deadline pressure to finish a major public commission for 14 paintings of the Stations of the Cross.

This short film follows Chris Gollon as he makes 4 editions of 20 silk-screen prints with the help of master printmakers Ian & Jan Wilkinson at Goldmark Atelier, Rutland. The prints were also working studies for the major museum commission ‘Gollon At Henley’, which depicts, in Gollonesque style, a losing team at the Henley Royal Regatta.
