Gollon on Eleanor McEvoy

Chris Gollon (2016) speaking about his collaboration with Eleanor McEvoy: “Her songs have universal themes while also containing her own personal female and emotional viewpoint.” “I was particularly struck by the track ‘The Thought of You’ about a woman thinking about an affair but not having one.  So my painting ended up as by a man reflecting on the thoughts of a woman.  That song took me to a place I can’t get to on my own, but I can at least try to get there with the authentic guidance of an artist of Eleanor’s stature.”  (Pictured: ‘The Thought of You’ (after Eleanor McEvoy) by Chris Gollon, 48” x 36” acrylic on canvas 2015, private collection.)
